- Chapter 2 - Starling grumbled as she got released and pushed by one of the guards. Dust put down the paper he read and looked at the rest of the slaves who were fortunate enough not to be sacrificed to the dragon. "I hope this teaches you not to stop working," Dust meowed unemotionally. "And work our bodies off?!!" Starling growled, before getting clawed by one of the guards. Dust seemingly ignored her, and continued. "Meeting dismissed." As most of the guards slowly started freeing the slaves and shoving them to work, Dust turned to them. "Follow me, and don't even try to escape," he grunted, as two of the guards came up behind the chosen cats. Reluctantly, all of the slaves followed, including Starling. They finally reached a lava pit, with a huge figure emerging from the shadows. / The Shadow Dragon, / Starling realized. But just before she got chained, she suddenly a surge of anger. Knocking the chain away-- which took the guard off guard (ha)-- she growled at him. He hissed back, and attempted to claw her. Starling zoomed out of the way. She was surprised, since she could never run that fast. Turning towards the guard, the guard attempted to push her in the lava pit, but she dodged, and the guard fell in, making the hot liquid splash when he touched it. The she-cat could only stare, then turned back to the rest of the guards, and Dust. This motivated the other slaves. Freeing themselves from their chains, they all fought the guards and all five managed to escape the room. "After them!" Dust snarled, and the guards dashed after them. "There's the exit!" Starling yelled, noticing a small hole, but big enough to fit a cat. One by one, the five slaves escaped from the Slave's Area. They soon reached a stone wall, with a gate. "Crap," Starling heard one of the slaves mumble. "How are we going to get out?" Glow grumbled. "Wait," a ginger tabby she-cat turned around. When Starling followed her gaze, she realized that the guards were catching up with them. "Hey!" Starling yowled. "You, the ginger tabby! Create a fire shield!" The she-cat was confused for a second, but nodded and surrounded the former slaves with a huge fire shield, preventing the guards from letting them through. "That'll hold them off for a few minutes, hopefully," she meowed. "Does anyone have the Air element?" "I do," a tom's voice yowled. Starling turned towards him, and found a dusk-brown calico tom with green eyes. "Okay, can you fly us all up to the edge of the wall?" Starling asked. "Um...I can try, it may not work, but I'll do it," the tom quickly mewed, and feathery wings sprouted out from his back. "Okay, I'll carry you first," the dusk tom picked up a black and white she-cat with yellow eyes, and flew over the stone wall. [Small Timeskip] - Starling waited for the tom to pick her up. So far, he picked up all of the cats, except Starling. Suddenly, a blur of brown flew over the stone wall. The tom. He picked up Starling, and flew over the huge wall. Starling felt her face grow hot. Was she blushing? Suddenly, she felt something weird. Looking down, she noticed it was green. Oh, grass! How dumb could she be? Starling looked around, and saw all of the other ex-slaves were scanning their area as well. "Well, let's get out of here," Glow meowed, some of them murmuring in agreement. "Okay," Starling nodded, and all five rushed away from the huge, gray wall, never to see it again. For a long time.
