In Escape, you will have to travel through a variety of platforms in order to escape. Throughout the levels, there will be bosses who will try to make you lose. If your character is touching the boss, you lose! This is a speed-run game, so be sure to travel fast and smoothly in order to ensure a good score. Focus on getting the best score you can get, and familiarise yourself with the levels more to ensure that you’ll find the next set of levels easy. The plan is to make some of them super tricky and some quite simple. Once new levels do come, the score maximum for easy mode will decrease, and more bosses will be added. Though, bosses are not the priority as levels are overall more important. ALSO, I will keep adding levels until level 100, but I’ll have to produce them in batches so I don’t need to change the code to add another level each time I add another level. Backdrops also need to be added for each level. Use arrow keys to move left and right. Use the space bar to jump.There are two difficulties; easy and hard. The only difference between the two is the speeds bosses appearing throughout the game will chase you with. For instance, in easy mode, the first boss will walk slowly to chase and kill you. Remember the game is incomplete so there is only one boss at the moment. IMPORTANT: If your score on easy mode is over 600, it will be set to 600 (cap at 600) to make it fair for the players using hard mode who can achieve up to 1000 points. Since some of the game’s visuals are incomplete, there are only 10 levels. This means that one will not be able to exceed level 10. I’ve been focusing on coding the game lately, but since that is finished, I will aim to release the entire or some of the series of levels and other things this week. Update Log June 22-23rd 2024: - The game is created and is filled with tons of bugs which are gradually fixed - The physics works making the game playable but most essential functions don’t actually function June 24th: - The World Records function is fixed - Many bugs are patched - An easy/hard mode option is added - Character skins option is added but not complete yet in terms of both code and visuals - Some extra features are added but not complete yet June 25-26th: - More levels are added - The “go back” feature is finished completely - “You lost” backdrop is changed (green text removed - Easy mode score cap is changed to 600 - Officially in beta development and testing!
