|✦| The Aesirith Underground Clinic |✦| Aesirith may have more advanced technology than the rest of Etari, but that doesn't mean that everyone in the kingdom gets access to it. Many felnines, due to financial difficulties, caste, or criminal record, are denied treatment. Due to this, a band of petty criminals and several injured felnines with medical knowledge came together to form the Aesirith Underground Clinic(AUC). It has been nearly a century and a half since the AUC was formed, and they have developed a system. |✦| Sectors and Ranks |✦| The AUC spans the four lower sectors of the kingdom, and has 1-2 clinics per region. The main clinic(being the one with the most members and funding) is in sector one, though most felnines travel into the area to work. AUC members identify each other through colored strips of fabric that are usually tied either in their hair or on one of their legs. The color denotes their medical knowledge and role in clinics. Doctors: The highest level of knowledge/skill available to the clinic. Doctors often have specializations(For example, Neo is a trauma surgeon and Orion works in pediatric medicine), but tend to be able to do most jobs. Designated by a gold band. Pharmacists: Makes and prescribe medicine to felnines. Designated by a green band. Psychologists: Helps patients with mental health. They aren't as skilled in physical medicine, but often host events like group therapy alongside emergency services. Designated by purple bands. Nurses: The second most knowledgable branch of the AUC, does any minor tasks required of them, cleans the surgery bays, and monitors patients. Designated by white bands. Assistants: Usually in training members of the clinic. Assistants shadow others for whatever role they are training for, clean rooms, and do laundry. Designated by black bands. Felnines who work at the clinic have "Daylight Jobs" and "Midnight Jobs"(with a few exceptions). Midnight jobs are their clinic duties and Daylight jobs are their normal Aesirith roles. No one is entirely sure why they're called that, especially because there is a number of felnines who work the clinic's day shifts, but it has become the normal way to discuss work. |✦| Payment |✦| Felnines who go to the clinic can either pay a very discounted price, or if they lack the credits, can trade in favors. Favors range from helping out at clinics, delivering prescriptions, helping out clinic workers with food/surviving, or growing and supplying the necessary ingredients for medicine. Favors can be refused if a felnine doesn't have the means to do them, but are always used to help the clinic and its workers. (You do not want to know how long this sign up took me) (If you want to make a character in the AUC please just ask and tell me what role you want the felnine to be. Amatus also has more kids if you want to make him another kid/grandkid. Old man loves his family dearly)
|✦| Amatus |✦| Amatus was born lucky. He had a passion for science and followed his dreams of becoming a fairly renowned chemist. He married his best friend, Aria and had a large, happy family. All in all, he was happy. After loosing a leg in an accident, Amatus, alongside his wife and several others founded the AUC, becoming the first surgeon and mentor to many felnines across the castes. Amatus has grown old since then, and is the only founding member of the AUC left alive. He can't bear to part with the clinic they worked so hard to build, even when he got to old to perform surgeries, and now works nearly full time as both a scientist and the AUC's head pharmacist. |✦| Ambrose |✦| Ambrose is the eldest of Amatus' pups, and originally went down a much darker path then his father. Ambrose spent almost five decades working as an assassin, taking down anyone he was paid to. He was good at it, at least until he lost a wing on the job. After that, Ambrose fled. He ended up at his families clinic, and since his identity was unknown, he retired peacefully, training as a surgeon in the AUC and starting a much more peaceful life as the owner of a bookstore. Ambrose has managed to gain partnerships for the clinic with places like fighting rings, and sources a lot of the clinic's funding from there. |✦| Irida |✦| Irida is a paramedic for a large hospital. But like the rest of her family, her path isn't completely legal. Irida is responsible for getting a bulk of the clinic's supplies from nearby hospitals, alongside transporting felnines to the clinic who would otherwise remain untreated. She met Orion at a hospital, and later the two decided to marry. |✦| Orion |✦| Orion didn't know anything about Aesirith until he met Irida. At least, that is what he claims. Orion learned a lot about the less than legal sectors of Aesirith from the clinic, and eventually decided to join it. Orion is the only doctor at the clinic who has official training in medicine, and is responsible for training almost every volunteer who later joins the clinic. |✦| Amali |✦| Amali is the first born daughter of Orion and Irida, but she did not choose the same path as they did. Of course, she knows about the less than legal activities they partake in, and even helps cover for them so they can keep working, but Amali is a royal advisor, and does her best to keep her distance from the actual illegal part of her family's business. |✦| Asta |✦| Asta is one of Irida and Orion's twins. She's overly energetic, and pretty much demanded to help out at the clinic. In an attempt to dissuade her until she was older, Orion set her up cleaning rooms and doing laundry. Luckily(or unluckily, depending on who you ask), she isn't squeamish, and somehow enjoys even the weird jobs she gets assigned. After two years, she was taken under the wing of her grandfather, and is training to make medicines with him |✦| Eleni |✦| Eleni is the only member of the family who doesn't participate in their business. Which, according to her parents, is a good thing. She enjoys being a pup, running around and playing with her familiar and any other animals she meets.
