Alright, I know I haven’t updated Catlandia for months, but consider this the final update before getting back on track. First of all, I will be rebooting chapters 1 & 2, and likely chapter 3 as well. What does this mean? Well, when I first started Catlandia, I was so exited to get the story out there that I neglected worldbuilding and character development. There are LOTS of crucial aspects to Catlandia’s lore that I never got to explain because of my impatience. There are also few other things like certain dialogue and events that I just don’t like anymore and want to change. Therefore, I will be rescripting and redrawing these chapters to fit my new vision. Once I get the reboots for chapters 1, 2, and 3 published, chapters will continue to release as normal, starting with chapter 7. On a less urgent note, what about the surprise I said I had saved for chapter 7? Don’t worry, I’ll incorporate that into the reboots :) Second, this ties in to me rebooting the first few chapters, but I will be renaming each of the six kingdoms. This means that from now on, the kingdoms will be referred to by their new names, and previous chapters will have their dialogue edited to incorporate this renaming. The reason for me doing this is simply because I don’t think the current names (Thundercloud, Metrotech, Floraleaf, Emberglow, Seawave, & Glacierfrost) were my best creative work and I wish to show improvement. I won’t reveal the new names until the first reboot releases, but if you’re against this change, PLEASE speak up. I don’t want to make a move that will confuse my readerbase.
