Music: Physical Challenge - Deltarune Chapter 3 OST (by Toby Fox) It's been a while. Scroll all the way to the bottom for the TLDR. Ever since I started working on Archa, I've been less active on Scratch than I was before. Archa's free Early Access is doing good, and I've been doing monthly updates for that since April of this year. Also, it's already been a year since I've made the Summer 2024 Game Jam. I'll get around to checking the entries and awarding the prizes soon. This year, I'll try to post at least one project a month. Could be something big, could be something small. Also, about Archa Classic: There are so many audio files and stuffs that it's making it hard to update. I'm considering making a separate project that adds new features to Archa Classic. Kinda like an Archa Classic 2, but not really. For now, it's only an idea that I have. If it gets far enough into development, I might make a sign-ups for it. Another idea that I have is a potential Archa One remaster, with new sprites and stuffs. This one is also just an idea. The main issue I'm having is that I'm not sure if the artstyle should be pixelated or vector, and im also not sure if it should be made in GameMaker or Scratch. Last month, Deltarune Chapter 3 and 4 came out, and I got it the same day. They were great! Way better than Chapters 1 and 2 imo. I might start using some of the OST in my projects like i did with Chapter 2 (in fact, I did it in this project!). If you guys want me to talk about my thoughts on the new chapters, please let me know. I didn't want to talk about them here too much just in case any of you want to avoid spoilers. About Project Cabbage: I've been going kinda on and off about it. For now, it's been sitting in the My Stuff page for months, and I've basically considered it shelved. I haven't worked on it that much because of other projects. In October, Archa Classic's 5th anniversary is coming up. I'll probably do a DMC like I did in 2021. If i make the Archa Classic continuation project and not procrastinate on it so much, I could also make that the anniversary present. What i'm about to talking about in this paragraph isn't really an announcement or update, just an opinion i have on an upcoming Scratch feature. A few days ago, ST announced the Set Thumbnail button. I think this will be a nice addition. However, they also said that any new projects released after the change will have the default Scratch Cat in a blank space thumbnail until you press the Select Thumbnail button, which i feel like it would make it slightly harder and could confuse new and old scratchers, making them think it's a bug. I think the best way would be having the thumbnail be where you saved last (like how it is now), but keep the button for if the user wants to use it. Anyways, that's all I have to say for now. If you have any questions, please comment. TLDR: -I've been doing good outside of Scratch, releasing monthly updates to Archa's Early Access. -I'll get to checking the Summer Game Jam 2024 entries soon and giving out the prizes. -I'll try to be more active and release scratch projects monthly this year. -I have some ideas for an Archa Classic continuation or an Archa One remaster -I've been enjoying Deltarune. -Project Cabbage is shelved because I'm doing other stuff. -I might do a DMC for Archa Classic's 5th Anniversary. -The upcoming "Set Thumbnail" button is good, but needs some changes.
