Name: Proto-dragons Scientific name: Basilodactylus dracoclava Meaning: early winged bat dragon Era:Cretaceous Proto-dragons (Basilosactylus dracoclava) are small, toothed pterosaurus with long tails. Unlike the rest of the pterosaurs this species had all the necessary niches for survival against the asteroid impact with its small size, its insectivorous diet and how it partially hid in trees and caves it was the only one left of its lineage and the start of a new one. They have 2 short horns that are connected to their beaks that they use for attracting mates and short pointed fins at the end of their tails similar to rhamphorhynchus - who they share their clade with.
