Meta is a cyborg water monitor. They were resurrected from the dead by human scientists after receiving terrible wounds to their heart from rival lizards. Their body was mostly intact, so they only needed a few replacement organs. Their brain was rewired mechanically and other modifications were added to their body to make them stronger. Meta was the first of these experiments on reptiles that was successful. The company who carried out the experiment intended on making a military faction of intelligent reptiles that would be able to do spy work or carry out assassinations. Meta was created as a soldier, assigned to defend the laboratory they were created in and train new creations. The humans who created them were kind to Meta, but Meta quickly learned that the human government's plans for them and their reptilian friends were worse than the scientists assumed. With the help of a human sympathetic to their plight, Meta led an escape. Several of the experiments were captured or killed, but Meta and seven others managed to escape along with their human warden. Meta now seeks to defend the wild from humans with selfish intentions.
