Everyday Waking Up Realising I'm All Alone Is a scar reopening all over again. Seeing you talk to her at the place That we made our own, Stringing up the precious fairy lights And the bookshelf we filled with all the books We called 'ours'. It ended with a bang, A betrayal that broke me A betrayal that left me so shattered I couldn't even pick up the pieces of my heart. You listened to the outsiders, The imposters who whispered in your ears That I was not enough, That the jar of fairy lights that we filled with light Was for someone else, And you had to give your heart away. Maybe it was that you couldn't take it. Maybe we weren't enough. Everyday Waking Up Realising I'm All Alone The jar of fairy lights Dims now, The flickering light Of our love Diminishing In To Nothing.
