This is a lullaby that I wrote in 2021, aged 11. Now in 2024, aged 14, I have recorded it again and added in a new verse similar to the ones that 11-year old me wrote. The melody, verse 1 and the chorus remain the same as the original version from 2021. Lyrics: (Verse 1) The waves are lapping on the shore, Shades of blue and gold, White horses gallop ‘neath the foam, Silver like the stars. (Chorus) Watch the sun set o’er the sea, Painting the sky rose, Watch the gulls fly o’er the bay, And know that you are free. (Verse 2) Now within the breeze so mild, Flowers take their flight, With blissful peace and wisdom, They glide you through the night. (Chorus) Watch the sun set o’er the sea, Painting the sky rose, Watch the gulls fly o’er the bay, And know that you are free. Free.
