Harry had one hand on the latter and one hand grabbing his bag as he hoisted himself up onto the platform. He stepped up to see the Divination classroom. Ron quickly followed him. Harry walked through a short hallway that opened up to a hazy room. He coughed a bit and made his way to the back of the classroom. Harry dropped his bag next to his chair. Ron did the same and sat across from him, studying the glass crystal ball perched on a stand. Harry noticed for the first time a pair of gleaming eyes, gazing at him from a shadowed chair in front of the fireplace. "Oi, mate what does this thing do?" Ron prodded the crystal. Harry shrugged. Soon Parvati Patil and Lavender Brown had chosen seats across the room from Harry and Ron. Lavender grinned slightly and Parvati gave a wave. Harry and Ron smiled back. The lady sitting in the chair stood up, once everyone had come to class. She had long braided hair, shawls spread across her shoulders, and magnified glasses that made her look like a mutant human-bug. "Hello, class." She said in a misty voice. "Welcome to Divination class. I am Professor Trelawny. I see you have all come to learn the art of the inner eye! A wonderful skill it is to have, but one cannot learn it, one must be born with it. I myself, come from a long line of Seers." The class was speechless, not in awe, but in disbelief. Harry thought it was rubbish. "What do you think, rubbish right?" Harry whispered to Ron as they both bent down to retrieve their books. "Load of rubbish." Ron whispered back. Harry sat back up and opened his book to Chapter One. "So what page are we on?" Harry heard what he thought to be Hermione's voice behind him. "When did you get here?" Ron asked. "Harry, did you see her come in?" "No, Hermione when did you get here?" Harry asked. "What do you mean, I've been here this whole time." Hermione quickly shoved something under the hem of her robes.
