This is the first half of the fourth part of a series made as a spinoff to @DEMOMAN9000's adventure series. The reason why I've split it into part 4 and 4.5 is due to storage limits. I've used the json project minimizer to add more project space, and I did what I could. Thankfully I was able to squeeze everything necessary in this part. It's recommended you play this first before part 4.5. -----Controls--------------------------------------------------------- Unique to this part, you're not going to be playing as the MUSHA, but rather, a new mech unit known as Rainfire. Rainfire excels highly at dealing huge amounts of damage while having a huge area of effect, at the cost of being slightly slower than MUSHA, also being a much larger target for enemies to hit. WASD - Move around Space - Default shot/Gilburt's Missile Q and E - Move Gilburt. You are assisted by a small robot known as Gilburt, whose main gimmick is to absorb certain coloured enemy projectiles that hit him, to charge up your special weapons. Whenever you fire, Gilburt also fires a missile that can take out any aerial enemy with a few-second delay. 1 - Spreader Laser. A forward-facing cutting beam which works similarly to MUSHA's beam, but with twice the area of effect. It starts with a maximum of 15 charges, but Gilburt will refill it by 1 when he is struck with any blue projectile. 2 - Checkered Plane Call. Call in a quartet of Checkered Planes to come to your assistance, as they shield you from enemy fire and barrage the foe with lasers. It starts with a maximum of 10 charges, but Gilburt will refill it by 1 when he is struck with any pink projectile. 3 - Bomber Strike. Call in a checkered bomber to strike the entire area with several thunderbolts, causing several screen-covering explosions which destroy all projectiles and easily break down the enemy's defense. It starts with a maximum of 5 charges, but Gilburt will refill it by 1 when he is struck with a red projectile. Be aware that certain enemies will now be able to block normal attacks thrown at them. Either wait for them to drop their guard to attack, or use Gilburt's missile (as long as it isn't a ground/marine enemy) or either the spreader laser or bomber strike on them to pierce their shields. (They can protect themselves from the Checkered Plane bullets) -----Story------------------------------------------------------------- With Koishi and MUSHA mysteriously taken out of action by an unknown foe and going missing, Satori and her allies are put in a state of panic. Luckily, they are joined by 2 new allies, Kokoro Akechi and I-13, both from 2 different universes. Meanwhile, as a diversion to contain a desperate situation he's in and to take advantage of Koishi's absence, Robogog launches an all-out assault on Satori's ally, the military forces of Dubai. Kokoro and I-13 are sent to dispatch the enemy as a test of trust. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- 20/02/2025 Update: -Fixed a bunch of visual bugs, namely the pre-Dubai stage cutscene where the checkered planes don't spawn in, and (hopefully) a problem with the background of the stage not disappearing when the level is cleared. -Fixed a bug in the loud and stealth routes of the Syrian desert base stage, where during the start of the stage, the enemy spawn code loops more than once and too many enemies appear all at once. -Bahamas bossfight tweaks: Nerfed the range of the phase 1 flamethrowers. Also now Bahamas fires beams after the sliders on the side have properly retracted so that it gives more warning before it attacks. -------------------------------------------------------------------------
-----Notes------------------------------------------------------------ -Since the game is pretty much at the storage limits, there's a good chance of the question mark block appearing. Use the turbowarp to help the game run faster and avoid the problem completely: https://turbowarp.org/1044836340 Note: In the turbowarp version, there's a bug in the first half of the Dubai stage where the looping background doesn't appear. I'll see if I can get it fixed, the bug may or may not happen depending on circumstances. -----Credits----------------------------------------------------------- Characters: -Touhou (Specifically Touhou Lostword and Spell Bubble) -Tantei Opera Milky Holmes -Fortnite -Kantai Collection Sprites: -MUSHA Aleste -Strikers 1945 -Cybattler -Strike Gunner STG -Rapid Hero/Arcadia -ESP Ra.De -Giga Wing -Explosive Breaker -Ginga Fukei Densetsu Sapphire -Nexzr -Sonic Wings -Battle Garegga -Battle Bakraid -Thunder Dragon/Thunder Dragon II -Final Soldier -Soldier Blade -Zed Blade -Dogyuun -Turbo Force Sound effects and soundtrack: -Touhou -Metroid -Choutetsu Brik'ger/Ironclad -Mega Man X -Undertale -Zed Blade -Strikers 1945 (Specifically III) -Armed Police Batrider -Rocketbirds 2: Evolution -Thunder Dragon II/Big Bang -Nexzr -Pulstar -Blazing Star -----Special Credits------------------------------------------------ @DEMOMAN9000 for inspiring me to make this @KanaKaii for supplying me with the Touhou music Remember to leave a love and like if you enjoyed the game, and report any bugs you see! -------------------------------------------------------------------------
