This is part two, so if you haven’t read part one here ya go: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1044956502/ The next era is called Scaled and Icy, which comes from the last song Redecorate where they say “Scaled back and isolated.” Scaled and Icy if you rearrange the letters also says “Clancy is Dead.” The mood of Scaled and Icy on the first listen is much different than the other albums, it’s much more upbeat and sounds happier (the lyrics are not though) The story starts with the song Saturday, where we find Tyler/Clancy and Josh preforming on a submarine for a whole bunch of people who are dancing, it appears to be a party. We also see the Bishops controlling the sub. Everyone is having a jolly time until a large dragon (named Trash) happens to attack the sub shattering the glass and letting everyone escape. During the Saturday music video, we found out that Clancy was basically playing propaganda for the people of Dema, trying to make it sound like an amazing place. The next song, The Outside shows where Clancy ends up. He ends up on an island called Voldsoy, that happens to be across the Paladin Strait (basically a tiny ocean type thing) from Dema. At the beginning of the video, we see Trash who has yellow eyes, and a Bishop named Keons with yellow eyes. We find out that Keons “seized” or controlled a dead body/vessel, in this case that happened to be Trash. Well the other Bishops didn’t really like the fact that Keons just helped Clancy escape, so they ☠️ him. Next, Clancy wakes up and sees a Torchbearer, who leads him through the island to a cave where they pick up new outfits and find more Neds. The Neds lead Clancy further into the cave, and eventually to the other side where there is only one, the Ned gives Clancy his antlers which gives Clancy the power to seize. Clancy did a little dance and seized Keons (since he was dead), showing the rest of the Bishops his newfound power.
The next and newest era is called Clancy. Which right before the album came out, the official Twenty One Pilots YouTube released a video called “I am Clancy” where he basically describes what has happened so far, so here’s a transcript or whatever: I'll start with what I do know. I am a citizen of an old city. Well, they say it's old, but there's just no proof. I can feel my friends rolling their eyes. I'll keep it simple. I am a citizen of Dema, a circular, cement city in the lower portion of an otherwise wild and green continent: Trench. We aren't allowed to go out there. Most haven't even seen it. But I have. I am an escapee, getting better at it with every attempt. But they always find me. Well, he does. Nico, or Blurryface is what he calls himself. He's the leader of the nine bishops who govern the city. Their authority comes from two things: a miraculous power and a hijacked religion. One feeds the other. A cycle. It's called Vialism, and all you really need to know is that it teaches that self-destruction is the only way to paradise. It also conveniently allows you to become an available vessel for the bishops to use. And that's where the miracle comes in. We call it 'seizing.' The rules are that you can only seize or control a dead body, and only for a short while. Also, they, the bishops, are the only ones who can do it. I am a citizen. I am an escapee, and I am an exception to the rule. Ok, this is what happened recently. I tricked Nico into taking me outside the walls. I created a fiery diversion. I escaped. I wandered, grew weak, and was tracked down. But this drag path was different. I saw them. They watched me, the banditos. Legends, only stories of a group that lived out here. Shortly after being back inside the walls, my new people got me out. They needed me for something. They brought me in, taught me their colours, but the cycle was too strong. I was recaptured, back inside. I guess word got around. I became known in Dema. The bishops did not like this, but decided to use it to their advantage. They made me entertain the people. Lie to them. They made me perform for them. Then Nico was betrayed, and I escaped, again. This time, I found myself at a new place, washed up on an island. And there, I was given a gift, thought to be extinct. I now had the same exact miraculous power they wielded from their towers. I am a citizen. I am an escapee. I am an exception. I am returning to Trench. I am Clancy." So yeah, that’s basically a summary of what I just yapped through, but we still gotta get through Clancy. The first music video is Overcompensate, where we see Clancy preforming for the citizens of Dema, but this time in his own way, he’s revealing to them what Dema truly is and what the Bishops true plans are, towards the end he seems to have converted some people to become Banditos. But at the end when Clancy falls to the floor, someone pulls of the mask that covered his face and revealed that Clancy was never actually there. It then flashes to a shot of him and the Torchbearer at a boat with Clancy finishing his seizing ritual... thing. The next video, Navigating continues where Overcompensate left off. Clancy and Torchbearer make their way through a forest until eventually they come to their destination where Clancy figures out that the Torchbearer he had been traveling with since The Outside music video was fake, he wasn’t there at all. He then reunited with the Bandito Torchbearer and then started to make their way too Dema. The story finishes with the Paladin Strait music videos, where a final battle occurs, Banditos fight the glorious gone (aka the people that killed themselves then the Bishops somehow brought back to life like zombies with their lighting power they got out of nowhere??) Torchbearer leads the Banditos in that battle while Clancy leaves them to find the Bishops, he climbs a tower and sees seven out of the nine Bishops, Keons is dead so that takes away one, but Nico is not in the room. Clancy uses the bones/antlers the Ned gave him to either knock out or kill the seven bishops (not really sure) and when he does that, Nico bursts out of a door behind them and grabs Clancy by the neck. And then the video ends.
