daily 6, flowers daily: Amaranth (immortality), Clover (industry), Dahlia (yours till the end) -- 403 words The Clover Cafeteria was not a regular cafeteria but instead, where all the defective children went to die. On the outside, the cafeteria seems innocent enough, but deep down, there are secrets hidden within its walls. Every clover that grows out of the cracks between the bricks is a child that has gone missing in the building. At least, that's what all the rumors say. I didn't know for sure if any of the rumors were correct, only that the rumored missing children were, in fact, missing. After a few months of searching, the parents of these children always marked the cases cold, never to find their children again. I didn't really believe it until I was selected in the middle of the night. As I was sleeping in my room, the Taker entered through the window and snatched me out of my bed. I panicked, not knowing what to do. I screamed and clawed at the strange entity, but it was no use. The Taker dragged me me out of the window and loaded me into the van. "Let's have a name before I send you into the laboratory," the strange entity says from the driver seats. Quietly obliging, I fidget with my hands. "My name is Dahlia." "My name is Amaranth. You won't try to run from me, will you?" The van stops. Amaranth unloads me from the vehicle, placing handcuffs on my arms. A bizarre feeling of obedience washes over me. "No, I won't. I'll be here." "Good." As Amaranth pushes me into the infamous Clover Cafeteria, I gulp. This was the building that the other children warned me about. I tell myself there is nothing to be worried about--after all, hearsay is hearsay. However, a nagging feeling inside of me keeps whispering that something will happen. I swallow down the foreboding sense of despair and walk in. "What are you going to do to me?" The building is completely empty inside. No furniture, no decorations--just a barren gray room. "It'll be over soon." Amaranth wanders to the middle of the room and sits. He smiles. "This is how I stay young forever." He closes his eyes, and vertigo rushes through me. I stumble before falling to the ground. I can feel my limbs turning into roots, my skin transforming into petals... "You won't run, Dahlia, right?" Amaranth lifts his hands towards the ceiling. "Join the rest of the clovers."
