╔═*.·:·.✧ ✦ ✧.·:·.*═╗. . • ☆ . ° .• °:. *₊ ° . ☆ melody's memory . . • ☆ . ° .• °:. *₊ ° . ☆ melody's eyes fluttered closed and the darkness wrapped around her like a blanket. she slowly reopened her eyes in caution and was astounded by what she witnessed. the night sky above had vanished and been weaved into an array of light and colour. the moon shone like a silver coin, tossed into the sky. bellow the vibrant coated sky, tree’s leaves whispered softly in the breeze, talking of distant and forgotten memories. pebbles, stones, rocks; they scattered the ground, adorned by the moons luminous touch. melody ventured forward in wonder, trying to recall memories of the familiar paradise before her. as she daintily placed each paw down, the long, damp grass parted before her, its dew kissed tips shining like a small hope, forming a path. as she travelled calmly along the smooth pathway, she come upon a river, weaving around word rocks, that have battled the tide for centuries, cradle secrets of many, secrets no others have heard a whisper of. This world was certainly odd in many ways. The stars above blink and shine brightly a pup’s smile, which melody smiles up at cheerfully as if greeting them all. But suddenly the lights display of colours disappeared and the stars altogether completely vanished as she realised where she was. Her ears perked up and from a distance she could hear a pup wailing helplessly. Urgently she sprinted towards the pup, the grass bending over and rotting as she went past, the moons lightly slowly faded, and so did the moon, but she wasn’t bothered. Once she got near to the pup, straight Infront of them, the friendly paradise she had first arrived to had vanished and had been peeled away to reveal a dark wood, a normal dark wood. The only light now was shining upon the pup, injured, alone, tears rolling down their cheeks. But she realised who they were now. The pup was her. Before she had time to question, the world around her seemed to fall apart, the ground broke and shook, crumbling away piece by piece like a building being demolished. She tried to run from it but the ground under her collapsed. She was swallowed by a large pit, echoes bouncing of the walls like a cave of the pups wailing. She had completely lost control of her own body as she continuously fell deeper into the endless hole. Questions swirled around her mind like a hurricane. Why was she crying then? Why was she hurt? Why wasn’t I in the camp? Did it happen? At that second the pit began to glow, and melody scrunched up her eyes to avoid looking at the light. She woke up. The wailing continued to ring in her ears for a while, but there was no one there except the other members of the questioning 6 sleeping beside her. She breathed in the cool night air and sighed thankfully. She had imagined it. But the familiar paradise still was stuck in her mind. Had she been there before? She gave her mind a rest and switched to deciding to just explore. She got up from her resting place and glanced around, before spotting the lake. She stumbled over to the lake and stared down into the water, looking at her reflection. She was herself. She was still melody. She looked about for a pebble and grinned mischievously. Melody picked up the pebble with her left paw and, while balancing just upon her right paw, she tossed the pebble into the lake. The pebble hit the lake with a big splash! Guess I should become a world-famous pebble thrower! Melody thought jokingly. As she began to practice throwing pebbles to distract herself from the dream, the pebble within the water began to sink slowly. Down. Down..
