Narcissa Black sat on her hospital bed. She had just given birth and was now cradling her newborn baby girl. Her wife, Sirius Black was standing right next to her, smiling to himself, a new father. Every bit of the baby was delicate, from the top of her wavy brown hair to the bottom of her tiny toes. Narcissa looked up at Sirius, smiling softly—relief written across her face. "Have you thought of a name yet, Siri?" Sirius nodded, he placed a hand on the baby's wavy hair. "Isabell," He said softly, "Isabell Maya Black" Narcissa wiped a happy tear, "perfect," she said, "it's perfect" A year passed, Narcissa was cradling a 1-year-old baby- Her baby. Her sister, Andromeda Tonks, and her husband, Ted Tonks. Both belly rubbing the baby: Isabell. In the kitchen was Sirius chatting with his school friend: James Potter and his wife: Lily Potter, with their even younger son: Harry. "She has her father's hair" Andromeda smiled as she brushed some hair from Isabell's eyes, which made her giggle. "She does," Narcissa smiled back, "I wonder where Bella is by the way" "Oh please," Andromeda scoffed, "Do you think Bella, of all people, would come to a house where two muggle-borns are sitting with her blood-traitor sister and with the other sister who married her cousin?" Narcissa giggled, knowing her oldest sister very well and her displeasure of being around muggle-borns and so-called "blood-traitors". Unlike Narcissa and Andromeda, to Bellatrix, blood supremacy was everything but to be taken lightly. Every time she walked passed muggle borns, blood-traitors, or even half bloods; she would scowl at them, take out her wand and crucio them. This was the exact reason why Narcissa liked Andromeda better. "Mummy!," Andromeda's 7-year-old daughter; Nymphadora Tonks (also known as Dora) called from the bathroom, "My hair's green again!" Nymphadora's mother chuckled to herself. "I'd better help Dora, you know- her metamorphmagus abilities and stuff" "Why did you even name her 'Nymphadora'? She'll hate her name when she learns what it means" "That's why I'll never tell her" Andromeda grinned before running upstairs to help her daughter. Narcissa rolled her eyes. Typical Andy. Just as Andromeda left Lily, who was cradling Harry entered the room, her hair, which was usually open was now tied in a loose bun, which made her look very pretty. Sirius, Ted, and James were in a deep conversation about quidditch during the time. "Lily," Narcissa admired, "your hair looks really good" "Thanks" Lily thanked, her voice filled with thankfulness. They stared at Isabell and Harry for a while. "I can't believe she's already a year old" Lily whispered looking at the sleeping Isabell ad Harry "They really grow up fast" Narcissa said, she wiped a tear, a happy tear. "there really do" Another year and a half had passed. Narcissa was cradling Isabell, crying after hearing the news of James and Lily's death. "They deserved it," Bellatrix said when she was visiting them after they all heard the news, "the filthy mudblood and her blood traitor husband. I'm surprised their boy survived. Filthy half-blood he is. It's a pity that the dark lord had to die though" Narcissa looked up at Bellatrix, she was on the verge of tears, "Don't say that!," she wanted to scream "they never deserved it! Not even their son, who is still alive!" but all she did was stay silent, covering her face with her hands. "You know cissy," Bellatrix started to say, mischief spelled across her face, "I'll show my loyalty to the dark lord, I don't care if he's gone. I don't care if it'll lead me to Azkaban!" and with that she snatched the tiny Isabell from her arms and started cradling her herself. Narcissa didn't say anything, instead, she held her knees to her chest and started burying herself into her hands more. ______________________ continued in credits
After Bellatrix had left, Sirius came, his expression grim. Of course he was grim, he was sadder than Narcissa- His best friend had died! "Cissy," he said his voice laced with sadness, Narcissa could see it in his eyes, "we need to get a divorce" Narcissa began to cry. This had been by far, the worst day of her life. First Lily and James's death and now Sirius saying they needed to file a divorce? What could be worse? "why?" Narcissa asked, sobbing. Sirius sighed, he grimaced a bit more. "You know my friend, wormtail?" Narcissa nodded, "well... He set me up. He blamed me for exposing Lily and James's secrets to you-know-who, then started pretending to have been killed by me" Narcissa scowled, who would have done such a thing? "And now," Sirius continued, "the ministry's after me. If they check my papers and see that your my wife and Isabell is our daughter.... Both of you will go to Azkaban as well" "But Sirius," Narcissa pressed, already knowing for the worse, "I can't take care of Isabell by myself... I-it's too much for me" Sirius began to sob, "I know. I know it is, cissy. That's why you should give her to one of those..." his voice trailed off, he didn't need to continue his sentence. Narcissa already knew what he was talking about, but she couldn't imagine Isabell growing up in an orphanage without her parents. Poor young tiny Isabell. It took her a long time to process her thoughts, she held Isabell close. She couldn't give her only daughter away to an orphanage, but she knew, for Isabell's own good, she had to. __________________ Ping List: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1046236195/
