Daily #7: HOW TO NOT PROCRASTINATE ON THE DAILY (a step by step tutorial) Dailies are an activity provided by the SWC camp that allow you to earn points for your cabin though relatively easy and short assignments, this in fact is one of them. But many SWC campers find themselves struggling with procrastination and motivation to complete the dailies. To avoid this there are a couple steps you can to improve your work ethic: STEP 1: I personally find that getting myself excited and hyped up about the dailies contributes to my ability to successfully complete them within the time limit. I like to log in to scratch around midnight UTC time to see the new daily when it changes, this makes me feel ahead of the pressure and gives me the maximum amount of time to brainstorm ideas even in advance. STEP 2: To get myself motivated to write I try to find a topic/theme/story that I am excited about. I find this my gathering inspiration from my fellow campers. Reading other peoples dailies and asking around the main cabin for prompts. STEP 3: I like to remind myself of the feeling of accomplishment I get after completing the daily. It makes me feel like a team player to my cabin and it improves my mood and general productivity for the remainder of the day. STEP 4: A reward system is also a good method to follow. As SWCer’s who love mangos, wait until after you have completed the daily to have that mango smoothie. Now. . . STOP PROCRASTINATING AND GO WRITE! Word Count: 263
