After breakfast, Dahlia went upstairs to get ready to go to Diagon Alley. She wore jeans and a Slytherin sweater she had stolen from my brother. “Dahlia! That’s my sweater!” Aaron complained. “So?” Dahlia asked. “I can wear it.” Aaron crossed his arms. “Fine…” he mumbled. We headed to Diagon Alley. “What first?” Dahlia asked. “Your wand,” her mom said. “Head into Ollivanders over there.” She said, pointing to a shop. “Okay,” Dahlia said, heading into the store. “Hello?” She asked, her voice echoing. Suddenly, a man appeared out from behind the shelves. “Ah! You must be… Miss Hartwell!” He said. “That’s me,” Dahlia said. “Looking for a wand?” He asked. “Let’s see here,” he murmured to himself. “Yes,” Dahlia replied. “Ah! Try this one,” he said, grabbing a box and placing it on her desk. “Acacia, 10 inches, unicorn hair core,” he explained. Dahlia tried it out, the wand made a mess of the room. “Definitely not,” Ollivander said. He looked back to his shelves. “How about this one?” He asked, setting down a box and opened it to reveal a wand. “Holly with a dragon heartstring core, 11 inches long, yew, and slightly bendy.” He explained. Dahlia tried it out, and it didn’t make a mess. “That is the right one!” He exclaimed. “Seven galleons.” Dahlia handed him the money. “Bye!” She said. “Bye!” Ollivander replied.
