Once upon a time, there was a boy. An unknown boy with an unknown name who wished to see the unknown night. He was trapped. Trapped in an infinite dusk. His duty was to free the other people from the dusk, while he remained in it for the rest of eternity. Using an ancient artifact, he would open a portal that closes the gap between the dusk and the night. And every time he used this artifact, his 'time', or life force would decrease. He was to use this artifact until his time was up. Then he was to die. Every year, there was a masquerade of people like him, that had to free people in exchange for their time. During the masquerade, for one day, he was able to see the night. So he would. Each year, he longed for the day of the masquerade. And after that day, he would long for it for another year. Then so on. An endless cycle of futile hope disappeared and reborn again. He hated it. So he decided to break it. --- ⁱ ⁿᵉᵉᵈ ʸᵒᵘ ᵗᵒ ʰᵉˡᵖ. ᵗᵒⁿⁱᵍʰᵗ ⁱˢ ᵗʰᵉ ᵐᵃˢqᵘᵉʳᵃᵈᵉ. ⁱ'ᵐ ᵍᵒⁱⁿᵍ ᵗᵒ ᵉˢᶜᵃᵖᵉ. ... ████████ END_OF_RECORD - - [ art ] 1. glitching main (the crappy curtains are on purpose btw) (also the feathers are hidden behind the flower so they aren't visible) there's no glitch effect in the animation because if there was, my hands would've died rigging it all :') also, the glitch gif disappears when you click away so i replaced the gif with a filler static glitching image. click the green flag again to make the gif reappear ^^ 2. static main 3. i would've posted the sketch, lineart, flat colors, etc. if my art process wasn't literally like simple anatomy/position x 100000 and then find one that i actually like -> sketch 1 -> sketch 2 -> sketch 3 -> lineart for half of the face and the neck -> ok i'm gonna fully render the eye now -> lineart for the other half of the face -> flat color -> fully render one part and then ignore the others -> OKAY I HAVE TO ACTUALLY DO THE LINEART NOW -> wait i forgot to add 10000 design details okay BACK TO THE SKETCH (sketch 4) -> nah i'm just gonna render the eye again and then delete it bc the first one's better ... ... yeah.
