APPEARANCE: The Shadow-whisperers can have dark purple, navy blue or black scales. They have scattered bioluminescent scales on their necks, tails, wings, and faces which can be orange, blue, purple or pink on colour. They have lean, tall builds and large wings that can fold in tightly to allow them to fit through small crevices'. Their eyes can be orange, blue, purple or pink and match their glowing scales and they have a crown of horns starting from their forehead to the back of their long necks. Their legs are long and they have hooked claws to help them grip on to cave walls ABILITIES The Shadow-whisperers have pads on their talons that allow them to climb up walls and on ceilings much like a gecko. They also have the ability to move between shadows. This ability is called 'shifting' but there are some rules around it, like you have to already be standing in a shadow to move to another, and you can only shift to a shadow you can see. They can breath a thick fog that makes escaping easier, and they have night vision but this does make some colours look different. KINGDOM AND HABITAT The Shadow-whisperers live in the winding cave systems below the continent. The caves can be large, or small. They carve their houses into the stone walls of larger caverns, usually all the way to the ceiling. There are lots of different plants that grow in these caves, like mushrooms and firework trees that have large, glowing fern-like fronds. The exact location of their palace is unknown, but it is said to be found at their major city, Nighthaven. TRADITIONAL WEAPONS The Shadow-whisperers usually use metal weapons, as wood is scarce in the caves. Most of the time, their weapons are made of simple steel, but some weapons like the ones used in the Queen's elite guard are made of a special unbreakable metal called Adamanite, which is mined deep in the earth.
