INSTRUCTIONS ☆ Use Turbo Mode (shift + green flag, or see inside -> edit -> turn on turbo mode), otherwise the metronome will be off from the rest of the project and it will sound very weird. ☆ Use the buttons to add or change elements to your music, such as new notes, ties, dots, new time signatures, new key signatures, etc. ☆ Use the arrow keys to change the current measure that you are editing. ☆ Do not try to add a dot to a sixteenth note.
NOTES ☆ Save code stops lagging and starts working if you go forward a measure and then back again or play it. ☆ Save codes: https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/topic/883470/ ☆ WARNING: Green flag resets your song. ☆ If something is not working or you have an idea of something that could be added, PLEASE let me know. ☆ All parts of the staff are either drawn with the pen or stamped. ☆ To my knowledge, any rhythm in 2/4, 3/4, 4/4, or 5/4 with whole, half, quarter, eighth, or sixteenth notes can be played in this project. ☆ There is a limit of 96 measures according to the slider, but feel free to go inside the project and change the slider range if you really want more than that. ☆ Many scripts need to run without screen refresh, so there are a lot of custom blocks (sometimes with somewhat unclear names) inside the project. There are also multiple "counter" variables, and sometimes the "counter" variables are used for things other than counters inside of a custom block. ☆ Please choose a major key with up to seven sharps or flats. ☆ Tempo must be from 20 to 250. ☆ Time signatures must be 2/4, 3/4, 4/4, or 5/4. ☆ Metronome is just a cowbell sound. ☆ Due to the delay in repeat blocks that usually exists in Scratch, this project must be played in Turbo Mode in order for the metronome to line up with the notes. ☆ I highly encourage someone to remix this and add more to it, since it is very basic rn. MISSING FEATURES ☆ Eighth notes do not beam. ☆ No articulations, dynamics, etc. ☆ No tuplets ☆ No changing the clef to bass clef, alto clef, tenor clef, etc. ☆ No key changes, time signature changes, or tempo changes. CREDITS ☆ This project is heavily inspired by the app MuseScore. ☆ Symbols such as the sharp, flat, treble clef, and music notes came from Wikipedia or from various scores shown on Wikipedia.
