(+)Her parents entered the room, both with somber looks on their faces. “What did you guys talk about?” she asked. “Well, I spoke with Madame Clove and canceled your spot in the ceremony. I suppose there will be a two person coven. But that doesn’t matter. All that matters is keeping you safe.” her mom told her. Arcadia frowned. “How is canceling the one thing I’ve looked forward to my whole life keeping me safe?” “If you’re a full witch, the Warrior’s will make everything harder on you. And we don’t want you falling behind.” her step dad said. She tilted her head.“What do you mean by that?” asked Arcadia, though she already knew the answer. “You’re joining the Warriors.” Her mom said slowly. “Why? I don’t want to!” “Right now, what you want…doesn’t matter.” her step dad said. Arcadia crossed her arms. “Wow, that’s a real nice thing to say.” she muttered. “Arc, I didn’t mean it that way…” “Sure you didn’t.” Her mom let out a sigh and crossed her arms. “Arcadia,” she said slowly, “why don’t you get packed. And send a reply to Sir. Elmondo. Tell him that you’re coming.” “But Mom–” “No buts, you will do as I say.” Arcadia let out a frustrated groan and grabbed a piece of lined paper and a pencil from a drawer. She began writing to Sir. Elmondo, though she didn’t mean a word that was written on the paper.
