In Science class we learned about the mechanics of catapults and then designed and built our own. In Computer Science class we were challenged to solve the design problem: How might we design a computer model that informs a user about the mechanics of how a catapult works? I used Design Thinking to create a Scratch program that is a solution to the user need: A person that knows nothing about the catapults needs to know how to build a basic catapult so as to making one that is great and work.
