In Science Class we learned about the mechanics of catapults and then designed and built their own. In Computer Science class we were challenged to solve the design problem: How might we design a computer model that informs a user about the mechanics of how a catapult works? I used Design thinking to create a Scratch program that is a solution to the user need: "A person who knows nothing about catapults needs to know three simple things about catapults so as to learn about catapults and not get overwhelmed."
