Leaves of nearby hibiscus plants waver through the wind as that breeze carries them on. Sand rustles silently, creating a thin blanket of fine mist over the ground. And moving gold catches the fading rays of the setting sun... Welcome to summertime at the edge of the lush rainforest of Sanoira. ☼⋆⁺☼⋆⁺☼ Artists notes: Sorry this took so long to finish T-T I probably have a doctor's degree in procrastination by now Also tried making a slighty more aesthetic project than I usually do. Don't know if I succeded or not but anyways- For the summer theme, I tried combining Amaranth's (the OC here) jungle-ish style and a beach sunset with some hibiscuses, which always reminded me of summer. The outlines are kind of thick and that's something that keeps happening so I'm probably going to change the brush I normally use from now on. I was also playing a lot with the shading here too, probably a little bit too much. But overall, I did have fun making her for the contest and liked how it came out! But we don't talk about the ears and earings. Those are just....eugh...no....please.... OC notes: Amaranth a type of wingless fae with dryad descent called an Astrallith (basically my interpretation of an Amazonian. I've been twisting a lot of mythological creatures lately). I don't have much of her story figured out yet since I won't be really focusing on the sieres she's in for another two years but in the meantime I am working on the character designs and personalities.
