Suggestions and bug reports are encouraged. === DETAILED INSTRUCTIONS AND NOTES === If you hate using left-arrow key to backspace, you're not alone. You CAN use the backspace button on the on-screen keyboard, but I think you should go to Turbowarp (linked above), where you can type backspace. Credits: This project is based on (a remake of) Wordle. https://nytimes.com/games/wordle What's Special in my remake: + Better typing: In this project, you don't type in ask boxes. You type like how you would in the official version. + Advanced color detection: This is a bit harder to explain, so I'll use an example. (Y means yellow and B means gray) Let's say the target word is PETAL, and I guess APPLE. This project will show YYBYY, instead of the wrong YYYYY, common on other Scratch remakes, where the letter P is counted twice. + Mobile support: An on-screen keyboard is included. You can still use your own keyboard. + Word list encryption: All the acceptable words (from CSW21) are encrypted in the code to make access to bad words harder. It's very hard to remove all bad words because there are too many bad words, and it would be OK to allow some bad words to be typed, but they will never be the Wordle (that's a different list). So, don't worry that your bad word got accepted. It will never be the answer. Also, I made adjustments to the list of possible Wordle solutions, removing 35 words but adding 2 new. + Sharing: You can share your results! The format is just like the original Wordle. The ID is the alphabetical order of the word in the answer list. There are 2273 possible answers. Inspiration / Background: I had the idea of making this project around 2 years ago, when Wordle was still pretty much viral. So, I tried making the project then, but I got stuck and abandoned it. While I was cleaning up my stuff on Scratch, I found the abandoned draft of the project. Then, I set myself up for a challenge to complete this project in three days. (Fun fact: in the night between 07/24 and 07/25, I had a dream of this project being featured, and me getting 989 views when I woke up from sleep in that dream. (It didn't happen... yet.))
