Since Piracy and plundering groups are a mechanic in this RP, this is a speech by the Ministry of Defense before the Enian Parliament explaining their response to this issue. For fairness sake none of these projects or legislation will start or be passed before the RP starts, but this is a clear indication of Enia's stance on piracy. As this is a parliamentary speech it is by default addressed to the Speaker of Parliament, hence "Mr Speaker Sir", and it will also end with yielding time back to the Speaker to signal the end of his speech.
Ministry of Defense: Mr Speaker Sir, as a seafaring nation built on international connections, Enian interests are greatly affected by piracy and other groups seeking to disrupt the international order. Thus, the Ministry of Defense is compelled to now serve its purpose in defending said interests. As of now, the ministry is seeking approval to move ahead with Project Order. If this project moves forward, Enian Naval and Special Service personnel will be deployed to seek out and destroy plundering groups in the region. With the initiation of this project pirates and plunderers will be officially designated as state enemies, removing any legal protections afforded to members of such entities on Enian territory and providing a pathway to prosecute those who collaborate with them under the State Enemies Act currently before this parliament. Furthermore, this project will also come with further investments into the military, with the Navy receiving increased funding for both fleet expansion as well as development of new Naval warfighting platforms to further increase the lethality of our fleet. With the proposal of this project, the Ministry reaffirms its commitment to the fierce protection of our interests, and the investments will act in furtherance of our philosophy: “A swift force capable of quick deadly blows to act as a strong deterrent to aggression but secure decisive victories when deterrence fails.” I yield my time back to the Speaker.
