[not that cloudykit is /alone/, most definitely not! he has... duckdack! no matter what, he has duckdack...] but what good is a friend if nobody else can see them? and that's why i, a good friend of duckdack himself, am here to reach out to the inner rebellious souls of riverclan to find duckdack's little thief some accomplices! [disclaimer: duckdack is merely a figment of imagination and was made as an imitation to replace the hole in cloudykit's own heart. please do not consider him as real or breathing.] (tl;dr: duckdack is an imaginary friend created by cloudykit to deal with the death of crescentsail and departure of mourningquiver with ironkit and freezekit, but cloudy also needs actual friends.) (if wanted, you can compare duckdack to being the equivalent of a persona) -------------------- the "party": close confidants: these are cats cloudykit trusts almost completely. they will often to "spoken to" by his imaginary friend, duckdack, through cloudy himself. they will often be dragged along on hijinks and may even have the rare chance of seeing their confidant completely break into pieces... [whatever that means]. (this will be, at most, 4 cats around cloudy's age. preferably cats who, at first, will allow him to keep thinking duckdack exists, maybe even creating an imaginary warrior of their own.) --- the team: though not on the level of confidants, these are still friends among dee's roster of cats. they will hear mentions of duckdack, but the elusive cat will never "speak" to them. (this will be most of cloudy's friends. they can make remarks about duckdack being an imaginary friend and not real, but he will not hesitate to drop them if they start trying to get him to drop duckdack.) --- the other side of the coin: a position of relative importance, this is both the friend and foe of cloudykit. the one who he is convinced intends to defeat him [... yeah, right. it's all a game in the end]. (though there may be other frenemies, this one is special. they will know about duckdack through an accidental slip of the tongue. this cat should be around cloudy's age and, guided by jealousy, genuine concern, or some other reason, constantly try to tell dee the truth about duckdack, spurring on a cheap rivalry. this will kick off around apprentice age) --- the masses: everyone else, good acquaintances or bad. nothing much to say here. --------------------- so, yeah! if you can't tell, duckdack is the imaginary "guardian" of cloudykit, and that'll majorly affect his closer relations. but hey! still offer up your cat as a friend, bestie, rival, whatever!
