My Option: Option 1 Actual guide/What I used as reference: Fill a saucepan with enough water to cover your eggs and bring it to a roiling boil. Add your eggs to the water and reduce the heat to medium-low. Cook 5 minutes for soft-boiled eggs (what I did), 7-8 minutes for medium-boiled eggs, and 10 minutes for hard-boiled eggs.
