Rewriting ninjago p1 Before notes.

To start this series off of rewriting ninjago, I just want to say for the record I love ninjago and it has many well written parts, but im just using viewers perspective to add what i would have personally prefered and some things others might have too. This includes changes, major and minor. Anyways, onto the project. So first thing, if this was my show and i could do whatever, I think id change the style. Dont get me wrong the 3d lego style is really cool but I think I would want to go for a 2d style and have it be in a similar style to Lego Monkie kids just cause I think that It is a fun style that already feels fairly adaptable. And character design wise- Im gonna keep mostly pre-sons of garmadon designs the same before the time skip except for some elements of the newer designs being added to the old ones for example: Jays freckles or some of Kais scars. Basically a blend but then post SoG they get the new hair and voices and stuff. Now that thats out of the way, lets go onto basic all series lore and layout. This next point will have spoilers for up to season 5 plus. Spoilers ahead!! So lets talk about the golden weapons of spinjitzu. You know how theres 4? Scratch that theres 5. One for Zane, Cole, Kai, and Jay... but also one weapon that everyone thinks is for the 5th member, the green ninja. Except one thing...theres actually six weapons because when lloyd goes in front of them and they glow green a 6th hidden one is revealed and it confuses everyone, this leaves nyas spot open while also having a point where Wu wonders if Morro was destined to be a ninja after all. Now I am also gonna touch over a problem ive seen with the entire series. Devastating events often dont feel severe enough for my liking. Just one of the MANY examples is that In the beginning, when they lost the monastery? Their only home, as well as Zane? They then immediately find the bounty and it just felt like there wasnt enough time for us or the characters to process the devastation of losing the Monastery. It seems that ninjago isnt the absolute best at portraying trauma throughout the show and i want to try and fix this in my rewrite. Side note: I dont plan on rewriting entire scripts but some projects might get lengthy and border on changing entire episodes and arcs. I plan to do at least one episode for every season so this might get lengthy. Thanks for coming to my first ted talk >:)
