Update with Wish & Minstrel First, I went to the pasture to grab Wish, and noticed how cute she was playing with minstrel. The two have been practically inseparable since they were born. I brought some treats, and they rushed over as soon as they smelled the treats, they rushed over. The greenleaf treats have been a hit with all of my horses! I realized I had forgotten to bring halters, and didn’t want to go back to the barn since I was already here. Luckily, they followed the treats. Except, Minstrel wouldn’t stay if Wish wouldn’t stay, so I ended up taking both. I took them out to the trail so they could see someplace new. I let them both, especially wish, get adjusted to their environment before I got started. Once they looked comfortable in the new place, I grabbed a brush. They hadn’t been groomed by me yet, and I wanted to make sure they wouldn’t spook at the brushes. I grabbed one, and did wish first. She sniffed at it, and then took a step forward so could brush her neck. She seemed fine with it, and I was glad. Then was Minstrel. I was hoping for a nice drama free day, but wasn’t sure what kind of tricks he would try to pull. He wanted to smell it, and he did. He practically buried his face in it. He jumped back, and let out the cutest little sneeze! I figured he was probably done, and I noticed he didn’t want anything to do with the grooming box. Then I grabbed some tack. I AM **NOT** RIDING FOALS! I was hoping to desensitize Wish to the tack, and obviously Minstrel. They were both very curious when I brought the back out, and got close to sniff it. Wish decided it was boring,m and hopped off to do something else. Minstrel, of course, decides to like the tack! Who’s surprised? Nobody. He then decided it didn’t appeal to his palate, and joined wish. End of update
