Disclaimer! By making theese projects im not trying to say im better at writing and such, im doing it for fun and using a viewers perspective on what i and others wouldve personally enjoyed more, with that out of the way, lets start. Personally im a fan of Rise of the serpentine, but this is a rewrite so im gonna start going over things id change. So first off, Lloyds kinda a brat in the beginning and thats ok- we love a good character development- but i want to make it feel more realistic and less "Muahahaha my dads evil so im gonna steal your candy!!" so lets make his motivation trying to prove himself and when he comes across the serpentine tombs he sees his opportunity to do that. I'd also like to change that instead of being kicked out of darkly's for "not being evil enough" that he ran away after being bullied and feeling pressured to do more than he was. I think that this could add some more character depth to Lloyd. So the first episode stays pretty similar but keeps that in mind. Now the second one- the monastery gets burnt down but I don't feel like doing it this early so we will have everything set back a bit until it gets burnt on the end of the fourth episode. We will just have the other 3 episodes be more exposition and Lloyd awakening the serpentine...but here's an idea...what if this longing to prove himself and be more and more powerful made it so he united the tribes and then they betrayed him...so here what'll happen. Hell meet pythor first stumbling across him and "convince" him to help but pythor only plays along so he can unite the different tribes of sealed serpentine. also while were talking about serpentine, for this rewrite its canon that aspheera, the merlopians, etc are all serpentine/related to serpentine but just weren't locked in tombs/participated in the wars but just went extinct or hid away. Also I'm dating the serpentine wars back a few hundred years ago and have it be great ancestors like great grandparents just so the timelines are smoother. Anyways, Lloyd thinks he has got the serpentine under his command but then they betray him and search for the lost city of Ouroboros. The ninja go through the whole episode where this happens (the one with Zane's vision) like normal with a few differences like maybe his vision will have a bit of change but they do the whole "best way to defeat an enemy is to make them your friend" stuff and Lloyd joins them but now he feels guilty and starts realizing maybe he doesn't need to be evil to prove himself. Also yk what? Ill let Jaya happen just cause why not? Its not my favorite ship but snce its already canon and some plot is built around it why not keep it canon ig. Also I want the great devourer plotline to feel a bit more frantic like the doomsday is approaching, and more serpentine lore&folklore with the great devourer. Id love to have a scene where serpentine are gathered around a campfire and listen close for one of the older serpentine to tell a story. Not much more id change except id make the serpentine a bit more serious, a few design changes, Lloyd unlocking a new weapon, foreshadowing, etc etc. Also! In the finale Garmadon wont steal the weapons. instead he will just make a new kind of weapon in the next season that will be as powerful if not even more so than the golden weapons.
