So, the train ride was longer than I thought it ought to be. It also rained, so that was annoying. Teddy told me about the Battle of Hogwarts in the Second Wizarding World War (or WWW II for shorter terms). I was excited as Teddy, Havi, and I filed onto one of the boats. "Wow." I said gazing up at the castle of Hogwarts. Once we'd crossed the lake in boats, there was a professor standing on the edge of the lake. "Hello, First-Years!" He said. "I'm Professor Longbottom, and you will follow me this way to the Great Hall, where you will be sorted into your houses." Teddy and I were one of the four students leading the rest. There was a tall girl with glasses to my left. "Hi, I'm Matt, Matthew Weasley." I said to her. "Hello, I'm Jacqueline Granger, nice to meet you." She said. "And hello, I'm Teddy Lupin." Teddy held out his hand for a handshake. "Nice to meet you too, Teddy." Teddy grinned. Soon the sortings started. "Lupin, Edward." Teddy stepped up to the stool and sat down, letting the Sorting Hat rest on his now light brown hair. "HUFFLEPUFF!" The Hat shouted. I clapped with the rest of the hall, but the Hufflepuffs' were the loudest. "Weasley, Matthew." I got up and headed to the stool. The Sorting Hat was lowered onto my head. "Hmm, another Weasley, first one in a long time, since Ginny Weasley. Perhaps Gryffindor, no you may be brave and of good courage, but you have a kind heart. Should be, HUFFLEPUFF!" The Hat shouted. I got up and quickly made my way to sit next to Teddy. "Yeah, mate, same house!" Teddy said. "Yeah!" I said. Havi was up next. "Lupin, Havi." She sat on the stool and the Sorting Hat began to do it's thing. "Better be RAVENCLAW!" Me and Teddy frowned. We would have liked to be in the same house, but maybe Ravenclaw was better for Havi than Hufflepuff. The new students in Hufflepuff were, Teddy, Jacqueline, a boy named Ross Schneider, another named Chandler Brown, two girls named Savanna and Nora Flarence and me. The feast was rather quick. Soon we were led to our common room. It was yellow and black, with loads of plants. There was a big badger painted on the far wall, and a large tack board by the fireplace. "First-Year boys' this way!" Our Prefect said. I followed Teddy up the steps to the closest room to the stairs. The Prefect opened the door and let them walk in. "I call this bed!" I said, snagging the one by the window. "Okay, then I want this one." Chandler said, pointing to the one by the wardrobes. "Fine, I'll take the one on the other side of the window." Ross said. "What? I'm stuck with the one by the door?" Teddy asked. "Yup!" I said.
