THIS IS NOT TEXAS, BUT THERE IS HOLD'EM: - Do take the time to read below: The sets: Orange, opaque-> Hearts. Orange, transparent-> Diamonds. Blue, opaque-> Spades. Blue, transparent-> Clubs. How this works: The aim is to make it to the end with two cards, plus 5, whilst putting in money and fooling the others to put money in unnecessarily. 1. somebody will be assigned the 'ante'. This is a pre-game bet that is compulsory (25 chips in value). 2. after betting starts, each player (you and 3 bots) will take turns putting in money that reflects your confidence in your cards (more about that further down..). You can: fold, meaning you don't wish to waste more money than you have to and exit the game, call (not on the first turn of the round for the first player), meaning to match the previous bet, or raise, which is putting in more money than the last person; adding the value of their bet and topping it with more money. 3. once everybody contributes an equal amount to the pot, we are free to move on to the Flop. This is the name of the three 'community cards' added to the middle for everybody to use. You may notice, if you are lucky enough, that you have a hand (again, more about that below). 4. betting continues until the pot is contributed to equally. 5. it is now time for the turn (flop+ another card) and the same betting sequence repeats until the pot is equal. By this time, there may only be you and one person left. 6. finally we have the river (turn+final card) in the middle, and more betting ensues. If your sole opposition folds, you win, and vice versa. It is very possibly to win purely on bluffing. 7. the final act involves calling what hand you have, a pair perhaps, a royal flush? The person with the highest-valued hand is the winner and the pot is awarded to them. What hands can you get? (ranked best to worst) *- these could be any value card. 1. Royal Flush: 10, J, Q, K, A - all of the same colour (blue or orange) 2. Flush: 5*, 9*, K*, A*, 2*- all of the same colour. 3. Three of a Kind: 4, 4, 4, 6*, A*- of any set. 4. Two Pairs: 4, 4, 5, K*, 5- of any set. 5. Pair: 7, 7, A*, 8*, 2*- of any set. 6. The High Cards; You: A, K*, 3*, 4*, 5* Player: J*, 9*, 10*, Q*, K In the above scenario, nobody had any hands, so the game resulted to high cards. A beats K in value, so You would win here. This is less than pair so if the other person has a pair or better, they would win. Thanks for reading, crypto. :)
