hi im back from traveling and while on vacation i wrote a diss poem about my mom. some things have to be redacted bc personal info i don't consider myself a poet (@_Tormentarashi_ is though she's amazing go check her out) but i think memorizing Poe's The Raven did something to my poetic abilities idk Once upon a time, in a kingdom far away, There lived a queen named [insert my mom's irl name], who was always in dismay One time complaining 'bout her food Another 'bout her clothes Thrice about her daughter's posture What will end her woes? She yapped so much her mouth fell off, and her sharp jaw slacked Her already ugly-sounding voice faded into black Her daughters were never more delighted, when her tongue crumbled to dust For never a silent moment sighted before her lips was rust The castle had never been so quiet, the kingdom so tranquil For shutting her loud church bell required tremendous skill But alas, it wasn't one of her children, nor that of her spouse, that had-- Finally silenced the fire within her throat that flickered when mad- But that of Time, however slow Unstoppable, the steady flow shall do it's work when it is due Saving the ears of the rest of the [insert plural form of my last name] yeah that's it have a good day hope you like the poetry meme too
