Chapter #1: A Deep Hatred Teddy Calahan, she has the entire school wrapped around her finger. She’s nothing short of perfect, her performance is flawless. The way her strawberry blonde hair curls so effortlessly, her clothes hug her body so seamlessly, her sage-green eyes pierce your soul in the most heavenly way, how she walks with such poise and grace, and talks so casually, or more so confidently to all those that interact with her. Teddy has been deemed the “princess of Highland Crest Academy” since our freshman year. God, just cut the crap already. How could anyone fall for her mediocre act? Teddy is so transparent, you might as well walk right through her. But her parents are disgustingly rich, and she’s fairly attractive. Put two and two together and you get a recipe for blind admiration. It’s awful, the entire school hangs on her every word, what she says, goes. There’s only a small group of students that can see through her bittersweet facade. I myself, am one of those select few. “Yo Clay, look who just won the volleyball championship,” I turned to see a blown up pot of Teddy in her tight uniform, holding a certificate, being applauded by her team; with the caption: “Couldn't have done without my team. Let’s go HCA!” I wanted to vomit. “At least she’s giving them some credit!” hesitantly said my classmate Vikram. I frowned, he also had an helpless obsession with Teddy. “Don’t be so uptight, it wouldn’t kill you to lighten up a bit,” added a girl in front me. I seethed, morons. They rolled their eyes at me and began talking about how the game played out. After about a long ten seconds, I stopped listening. Literature is my favorite class by far, creative writing especially. I could create my own world, where everything fell right into place, all that power at my fingertips. Once I’d begun typing out a new story, I was one hundred percent focused. Nothing could’ve distracted me, almost nothing. None other than the deceitful, lying cheat herself, Teddy Calahan. Students whispered in awe, talking about how amazing she looked today. “Alright, everyone, quiet down. Miss Calahan will be transferring to our class for the remainder of the year. That’s all, back to work,” My stomach dropped, this may have been the worst news I’ve ever received from a teacher. Teddy will be nothing by a glorified distraction. Mrs. Dayton nudged her elbow and pointed in my direction, “you can take a seat next to Clayton, over there.” -------------------------------------------------------- >Thank you so much for reading, let me know what you think! >Planned Release Date Chapter -7/23 >Have a good day/night!! -------------------------------------------------------- Credits: >Audio: Brutal-Olivia Rodrigo >Banner: Canva >Writing/Editing: --------------------------------------------------------
