Chapter 3 starts here: They made their way to the Shrine. Linkle felt a bit better that the old man was gone. He had insulted her so much and she hated him for that. An arrow whizzed past Linkle’s face and got caught in one of her braids. A horn sounded loudly and a pig-like monster ran up to them. “Run?” Linkle asked her brother. Link nodded. They ran from the monsters all the way to the shrine. There was a Sheikah Slate scanner by the door and Link put his slate on it. “Sheikah Slate confirmed,” an automated voice said. A blue seal appeared on the floor and the robotic voice said, “Travel Gate registered to map.” Can we travel to all of the locations we have on the map now? Linkle wondered. The door opened and revealed an elevator. Linkle looked around and saw another Shrine on top of a mountain. Link spoke first. “I’ll head to that one so we can get them done quicker.” Linkle nodded as Link ran off back to the Shrine of Resurrection. Linkle entered the Shrine and the elevator went down and, her being clumsy, the shaking in the elevator made her trip. And fall. When it made it to the bottom she dusted herself off and heard a voice. It said, “To you who sets foot in this shrine… I am Oman Au. In the name of the Goddess Hylia, I offer this trial.” In the room were two metal plates on the floor and bars on the walls. She then saw one of the stalactite things. She walked over to it and put her Sheikah Slate on it. The odd characters ran through it and it dripped onto the tablet. She peered over at it and saw five boxes. The one in the middle filled in. It was an icon of magnet and above it was the word “Magnesis”. Below the icon was a description that said, “Manipulate metal objects using magnetism: Grab onto metallic objects using magnetic energy that pours forth from the Magnesis rune. Objects held in the magnetic snare can be lifted up and moved freely.” Linkle took her slate back and opened the “runes” section. She clicked the Magnesis icon and her vision had red streaks through it and the metal plates turned magenta. She assumed that she was supposed to move them and when she touched one, the Sheikah Slate had an outline of a magnet form around it and she was able to lift the metal. She moved one until it was out of the way and it revealed a tunnel she jumped down it and landed on her back. Oww… she thought. She then saw a ladder that she could have used and rolled her eyes. There was a stream of water next to her, flowing in the direction the tunnel continued. Linkle followed it until she reached a set of stairs. Up the stairs was a wall of blocks. All were stone except one. Linkle used Magnesis to move it and it revealed a path. Through the path was a small robot that started shooting little beams at her. She got hit by one and dodged the other two. Linkle figured out quickly that she had to pick up the metal block and drop it on the robot. The rest of the shrine was fairly easy. She made a bridge using metal boards and she opened a metal door. When the door was opened she saw a skeleton sitting in a bubble-cube thing. Its hands were in a triangle. Linkle saw the symbol on her and Link’s Sheikah Slate and touched it. The Bubble exploded into shards. The voice that she heard when she entered the shrine came back. “You have proven to possess the resolve of a true hero. I am Oman Au, the creator of this trial. I am a humble monk blessed with the sight of Goddess Hylia and dedicated to helping those who seek to defeat Ganon. With your arrival my duty is now fulfilled. In the name of Goddess Hylia, allow me to bestow this gift upon you… Please accept this Spirit Orb. A purple orb with the crest of Hyrule on it came from the monk’s hands. It was there for a split second before disappearing into Linkle's heart. The pain she had from the blast healed. “May the Goddess smile upon you.” it said. Then it slowly disintegrated. Linkle was teleported back to the seal on the shrine. “Oh!” Linkle could hear the Old Man calling. “Oh… It’s you,” he said. “I’ll go.” “No!” she hissed. “Paraglider.” “What did you get?” he asked, grinning. “Something called a Spirit Orb,” she replied. “I believe there are three more on this plateau,” he said. “Bring me them and then you can have the paraglider.” “WHAT!” she screamed. “I guess I changed my mind!” he laughed. “Fine,” Linkle grumbled. She went to her map and teleported to the tower. And saw two more shrines. There were pins on the scope of the Sheikah Slate so she pinned the two that she saw. Night was creeping over the horizon and she traveled to the shrine of resurrection and made her way to the Old Man’s camp to rest for the night. Thank you for reading.
