So this is a poem I wrote a couple of months ago for class and for open house so yeah. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ FLOWERS by @-Wolf_claws I found myself in a field of flowers The sky was blue, and there were no clouds in sight I sat there for a while, wondering about things and observing my surroundings And then I decided to pick flowers. A flower for a friend with the spirit of a stag He is truly a nice person, and is humble and kind A tulip for him, the person who will never brag. A flower for an acquaintance I've known for a time She's never afraid to speak her mind, and is witty and funny An azalea for her, the person who I know will always shine. A flower for a friend with such creativity She has a heart of gold and never fails to make me smile A zinnia for her, the person who always believed in me. A flower for a person who I'll never replace He's a good dancer, funny, amiable, and diligent An orchid for him, the person whose smile lights up the darkest of days. A tulip, an azalea, a zinnia, and an orchid I look at these flowers in my hand I smile at the orchid, memories flooding my head The orchid is especially special to me. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ NOTES: The flowers are for certain people, people who have made a significant difference in my life. And yes, the orchid is especially special to me for certain reasons. While writing the poem in class, I researched several flowers and their symbolism. And no, the person who I said the tulip is for is just a friend, nothing more ( I swear I'm not pulling an Adrien Agreste on y'all my friend is not like that to me ). All flowers are for one real person that I know, although the zinnia is for two friends, for no particular reason ( it is for a particular reason ). Also fun fact while drawing the flowers on the actual printed paper, I didn't draw an orchid for some reason. Instead, I drew a blanket flower. I do like the writing, although I would change certain things. Yeah, it just sounds really weird to me now.
