☙Not Defined❧ We all have some baggage, something that we're holding onto that's hurting us. Maybe you're believing a lie, thinking that you'll never be good enough. Maybe you're ashamed of something you've said or done. Whatever it is that's hurting you, you don't have to be defined by it. When I was twelve, I was very insecure. I was short, shy, and very sensitive. At the time, I was best friends with a girl who was a little younger than me, who was tall, outgoing, and very pretty. I wished I could've at least looked like her. This lead to problems as I grew up, because I believed that my worth came from my appearance. I was believing a terrible lie that crushed my confidence, and my ability to be there for others. If you aren't defined by looks, personality, or achievements, what does define you? Good question. I believe that you are defined by your Creator's love for you. He forgives you, with His forgiveness, all those painful labels and tricky lies fall to the ground. With Jesus, you are free. Proverbs 28:13 "People who conceal their sins will not prosper, but if they confess and turn from them, they will receive mercy."
