my entry for SmartPenguin2013's summer 2024 contest! this is a watercolor piece i did myself of a flower on a dewy summer morning. though normally i think of summer as the beach and the pool, swimming and fireworks, surfing and country music, this is a different type of summer that i also enjoy. nature is so beautiful in the summer, and the wildflowers blooming is one of my favorite things to see, which inspired this painting.
