I'm actually rather happy with how this came out. Especially the background, dear Naga. Anyways, this is one of my Fire Emblem: Awakening Avatar's. This is Lenna, a hybrid, like her ancestor, Nera. Lenna actually prefers her wolf form, but she'll go into cat form every so often... (And yes, she's supposed to have two tails.) The curving red mark on her right leg is her hybrid mark, or part of it. And the scar on her neck and the one on her leg are connected, you just can't see where they meet. Backstory: Lenna sat in the clearing, breathing in the scent of the various flowers and the trees. Her tail tips flicked back and forth in her agitation, and she really just wanted to start crying. For some reason, she couldn't. 'Of all my memories to remember,' she thought sadly, 'why'd it have to be that one?' "Lenna!" Her ears flicked at a familiar voice. "Lenna! Where are you?" She blinked. "Lon'qu?" She called in surprise, voice cracking with her grief. The myrmidon obviously knew something was wrong because she suddenly heard his footsteps, as if he was racing to her. Sure enough, he was. Lon'qu burst out of the trees opposite her and looked around wildly sword in hand. His face was strangely frantic and distant, like he was remembering something. When he saw the hybrid just sitting there, with nothing attacking or threatening her, he relaxed slightly and sheathed his sword. Once his panic faded, the tenseness he always had whenever he was around a woman gripped him. He walked towards her and sat down some ways away, enough to where they could talk normally and still be comfortable. "Lenna... What's wrong?" Lon'qu finally asked. "Remembered a memory." She grunted, voice thick with grief. "A sad one, by the sound of it." The black haired myrmidon murmured. Lenna grunted and then suddenly it was tumbling out of her mouth. How she'd been in love with a man named Ben, how he'd helped her and Korru escape from Plegia. How they'd grown close and then the bandit attack. How she remembered waking up with little memory and crawling over to him, telling him good-bye. How she woke up the second time with no memory of him... Lon'qu listened silently with sympathy and understanding quickly growing on his face. When she finished, Lenna clenched her teeth and squeezed her eyes shut as those tears finally ran down her face. Sobs wracked her body and she wrapped one tail around her paws. The next thing she knew was Lon'qu was gently brushing her shoulder with his hand. She hand't even realized he'd gotten closer. "It's okay, Lenna." He said. He was obviously trying very hard not to let his phobia get in his way. "I understand how you feel. Just let it out." He sat closer now, still far enough away to enable him to comfort her without his phobia spiking. Finally, Lenna cried herself out and shifted to human form, wiping her eyes. "Thanks, Lon'qu." She murmured. He gave a ghost of a half smile, and she responded with a sad smile. They sat in silence for a few minutes and then Lenna sighed. "We'd best get back. I don't want to be yelled at by Korru and Chrom, and I doubt you do either." Lon'qu snorted in amusement. "Fair enough." He stood up and Lenna bounced to her feet. He gave her a look that she swore bordered on teasing. "You can walk beside me, but I demand ample space!" She laughed. "Aye, alright." And that's how they made their way back to camp, talking quietly about this or that.
Contest-R-Us *Lenna and Lon'qu obtained support level B* ^Ha, sorry, I had to XD This is a rough draft on their B support though, since I'm not using RobinxLon'qu supports for this since Lenna isn't Robin in this story arc. (The Robin of this story arc is Korru.) I'm really happy with the background! And her second tail came out! I'm so happy with that. I would have drawn a simple version of her medallion design, but the former was too small to let me do the latter effectively.. So it's just blank. You unfortunately can't tell, but I did shade it and put a highlight on it. Ah well. Also! The green lines on her tail are grass stems. There is a little symbolism in the back ground. The dark forest symbolizes Lenna's sad mood and the brighter, flower dappled clearing symbolizes her hope. Credits: Me for my character, Lenna, and everything about her in this story arc. Fire Emblem: Awakening for Lon'qu and everything about him.
