7/27/24 ꒱ The Wicked King ☆ 4.5 ⏰ ᴛᴀᴋᴇɴ ᴛᴏ ʀᴇᴀᴅ - 4 ᴅᴀʏs ☎️ Warning - I tried my best to leave out any spoilers from my review, but there still may be some /slight/ spoilers❗️ ꒰ Yes, I did read the first book in this series, but I'm not planning on writing a review for The Cruel Prince because I read it a couple weeks ago, before making this account! But I really enjoyed reading this book and this series in general. This book felt like it took me a while to read, because the pages were bigger and the text was smaller than I was used to, and I feel like there was an excessive amount of filler information in there..? ꒰ While reading this, I felt like the characters matured so much between the first book and the second. Like after he got crowned king and she became his seneschal AND THEN SHE BECAME QUEEN LIKE WHAT?? ꒰ THE BETRAYALS IN THIS BOOK AHH. I could not believe the amount of people who betrayed Jude in this book. It had me gasping and I'm pretty sure my parents think I'm a little bit insane now but thats okay!! ꒰ Overall, this book was really fun to read, and since I usually read in the morning or before bed, it was a great story to escape to before I either started/ended the day. ꒰ Definitely would recommend for anyone who loves a good enemies to lovers!! :)) ☎️ Spoiler-Free Quotes ꒱ ❱❱ "'For a moment,' he says, 'I wondered if it wasn't you shooting bolts at me.'
