[ BROKEN HEADS AMD SHATTERED HEARTS ] Introduction to the au ! [Note: The flower crowns for Oswald are dicentras and for Ginger are purple hyacinths.] [^] ‘’ [ The start ] What if Ginger got together with Oswald cause he was afraid to hurt him? This is an AU that has a different story than the actual one. After war, Ginger and Oswald get together. Though Ginger has doubts and even if he enjoys some moments he doesn’t feel like he wants Oswald as his partner. After Ginger is given Obsidian as a bounty and slowly falls in love with him instead. Oswald and Hazel start getting close and Oswald becomes a therapist for him, which ends to him leaving FF while Oswald didn’t. He is convinced Ginger will stay and that it’s fine that Hazel left and all he wants is them being friends. This all ends to Oak and Robyn trying to come up with ways for Ginger to tell what’s happening to Oswald. [ The Break Up ] Everything goes back and forth when one day Obsidian and Ginger are found together. Oswald doesn’t understand at first, thinking that Ginger should've told him he has plans instead of avoiding their date night, until Ginger tells Oswald the truth. Enraged and heartbroken Oswald tries to run away but misses a step and falls down the stairs. He bumps his head in the last one which causes his head to bleed. Ginger desperately tries to find help and Hazel was passing by. Hazel only lets a cry and says these exact lines: “WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!” [ The Hospital ] At the hospital, Oswald wakes up in pure horror. Hazel is next to him as Ginger was confronted by him that the accident was his fault. The two comfort each-other and Hazel holds Oswald’s paw in case he has pain spasms or nightmares. They grow closer every day until Ginger built up the courage to speak to Oswald. [ The conversation ] Oswald immediately snaps and breaks down the moment Ginger walks in until Ginger calms him down and explains what happened. He told him his actual feelings and insists that he would like them to be friends instead. Oswald is still aching from shock but tries to forgive Ginger. They are still good friends until Oswald starts having feelings for Hazel. [ The end ] Milo and Oswald have a talk and Oswald leaves due to his head injury to avoid death. Milo is tense but agrees. Ginger also leaves and Milo shuts down Firefly Foundations after talking with Oak. Oswald confesses to Hazel and they both become partners after Hazels mental health is a thousand times better. The gang lives happily and Oswalds head trauma fades over time. [^] Alright that’s all! I came up with this at the beach today at the span of an hour while chilling outside. None of these guys are bad or good. Ginger messed up, Oswald messed up, everyone did. Oswald’s guilt trip and reactions and Gingers lying and hiding are both equally bad in this AU.
