Of course, being back on Earth even though I was technically dead was weird, but… Look, the world is ending! I have to see this… How was it ending, though? An asteroid is supposed to hit the Earth, creating a massive impact that was enough to completely wipe out billions of people. The whole population. I turned to Leo, watching as their face went pale. “What the… And it’s all happening so quickly, too. I can’t believe this, gods-.. I think I’m going to be sick if I look at that screen any longer.” Well, what a coincidence. The screens cut out all of a sudden, just emitting the faint sound of TV static. “Look, it’s okay… We don’t HAVE to stay here any longer unless we want to. We’re fully capable of just opening a portal back to-“ “Are you out of your MIND!? There are people you know who are still alive!” Those words hit me like a ton of bricks. Right… People I care about are going to die… It’s making me feel terrible. I felt them pull me into a tight embrace, gently shushing me as tears filled my eyes. “..I don’t want to stay here, it’s too hard to deal with-..” This was our reality now. The world was ending. For good. We would all just exist as immortal beings for the rest of our lives in… Somewhere. “..It’s okay. Nobody is stopping you from finding them. You have time…” The screens flickered back on, but even though the audio was cutting out, I could tell what the reporter was saying. It was close. We’d be dead in minutes… I rushed out of the door, looking at the crowd of people looking up at the sky. You could barely see it, but it was there. I pushed through the crowd, looking for him. Somewhere, anywhere, damn it! But it was too late. Everyone, in a matter of seconds, was wiped out. You would never be able to see them again, unless you were lucky. So I was sitting there, waiting. It was billions of people getting sent somewhere, and every few seconds you’d hear the screaming of people being sent down, cursing their heads off. I already knew someone who was too good to be sent to this place, though. And it hurt so badly. I would never see him again. For the rest of eternity, that familiar face would never be seen by me again. Oh, it’s sad, but it's just… True. “Someone’s here to pay you a visit. And no, the gods did not send him down here on purpose. Must’ve been an accident, so hurry up, silly.”
yum yum yum i love angst (also this is future silly guys since the present timeline is when they’re almost out of high school)
