This is my Bio/Introduction to my OC Vivian Quell. I really like her :3 (Scroll down in here to see what lyrics she was inspired by, and a backstory.) Press Space (or click) to continue through the slides. ....I also may or may not have pulled an all-nighter when I made this character. The best ideas always seem to come to me at unholy hours of the night/morning. Kids, PLEASE sleep. Do as I say not as I do, lol. The lines of the song I most used as inspiration were: "I've been feeling so small Watch the clock ticking off the wall But tonight I'm letting it go-" - Used to inspire her sense of self struggle and fighting to find her freedom. "I'm gonna be myself Or I could be someone else No one's stopping me now" - Once again used to demonstrate their struggle with self identity, and their rebellion towards those who told her who to be. "I just wanna feel alive" -Shows how much she just wants her freedom as life tries to drag her down. "Nothing can break me, no, no Nothing can break me" -Used to show her rebellion towards those who try to control her, and how she continues to stay strong. ----------------- Backstory: Vivian grew up in a Noble household. Her parents were nobles from a very infamous line of nobles. Her parents are very stuck up and greedy people, who only want money and social status. They were disappointed when their firstborn was a girl. But they deemed her Vanessa ("A name fit for a noblewoman" They always said) Creech. and set their minds to marry her off to a rich nobleman as soon as she was old enough. They wanted Vanessa to be /perfect/ and controlled everything in her life as much as possible. Vanessa -hated- this, and from a young age began to rebel. When she was young, (7-12ish) She would have frequent "episodes" of rage or sadness. But these tantrums only caused her parents to be even stricter with this child. In her early teens (13-15) the tantrums subsided, but she was still moody and disliked all the rules. She managed to negotiate (argue) her way into getting horseback riding lessons alongside all the other boring and "proper" lessons her parents were forcing onto her (blegh embroidery). At the age of 16 Vanessa began to realize herself a bit more. She flat out began to Rebel and fight her parents on everything. It was quite tiresome for her parents, but as they had had no luck with other children, if they wanted better social status, this "insolent girl" was their "only chance". So they isolated her. she had never been able to leave the estate much, but now they straight up didn't allow her to go further than their small garden. They even cut off the horseback lessons and sold her horse. Vanessa had always hated her name, and on her 17th birthday she sat her parents down, and told them her name would from then on be Vivian. Of course, they disliked this, and refused to listen, but Vivian persisted. No matter what her parents tried, they could not control her. And later that year, she cut her hair short. this /appalled/ her parental figures, and they tried to keep her isolated to her room in an attempt to control the child. but she found ways to sneak out frequently. Throughout this time, her parents were also trying to find a proper suitor for her, who might agree to marry her despite her "improper attitude, and abundance of flaws". Vivian however, kept fighting on this. Not only was she opposed to getting married off to being a housewife, she was also struggling with identity and wasn't sure she'd ever even want to marry a man, or even marry at all. everything was a conflict. Within her mind, her family, and all throughout her life. The day she turned 18, her parents had hoped to keep her locked up and keep her under control, so they could continue the attempts at finding a suitor. But Vivian was an adult now. she packed a few things, and climbed out her 3rd story window, and ran, hoping never to return to the prison she'd lived in. She changed her last name, and set off to find a life, a home, and an identity for herself. wheeeeeeeeeeeee!! the 5am hyperactivity hits /different/
