This is the prologue for one of many fanfics I'm thinking about making based off the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise from SEGA Entertainment. Shoutout to Cosmo-Rouge_the_bat for inspiring me to post one of my fanfics. This specific fanfic takes place 25 years in the future, but the prologue takes place 5 years before that.
