AI generated images are non-copyrightable and public domain by default!! If you generated an AI image, you don't own it and it is legally worthless, unlike how artists own their work! This was proven in the 2023 court case Thaler v. Perlmutter, which states that human authorship is a bedrock requirement of copyright. So today, I'm presenting you guys with some public domain images I found online so you can redraw them :D There are 4 options! Your goal is to draw, redesign, or reinterpret the characters featured. The winning versions will become the official mascots of Dizzy's Normal Art Studio, the sponsor of this event! (This doesn't really mean anything big... but they'll be on the thumbnail) THIS IS NOT MEANT TO BE STEALING, it's just for fun! Also redesigning a character is transformative so even if these were copyrighted I'm pretty sure it would be fair use. Can you tell I'm trying to cover all my bases here Options: -Space girl -Fox(??) girl (this is being sold as an adopt on da :skull: I love how the seller had to copy and paste the headshots because the AI wouldn't make consistent ones) -Bee girl -Gromblo Rules: -No AI, gacha, picrew, or stealing, duh -Keep it scratch friendly :) this includes being nice and respectful!! Even if you are dealing with someone who supports AI images please always act in a respectful manner -Try giving the character a name and short backstory! Keep in mind they're only supposed to be mascots though -Enter for however many you want, but you can only win for one -You don't own the character if you win, no one can own these characters since they're still gonna be public domain -Genderbends/species bends allowed -Include elements of your own preferences in the character!! The goal here is to celebrate real human creativity, so be creative and have fun! -Literally go crazy -Please include a transparent version of your character art so I can put it on the studio thumbnail if it wins!
