I was in my bedroom, waiting for 8: 30 to roll around. We were finally going to Diagon Alley! “Ashlee! Get down!” Father yelled from down the stairs. “Hurry up and hop down here!” I came down with a nasty smirk on my face. “I’m already dressed,” I said, “unlike Draco, who’s still in his little nightshirt, although Xavier’s ready. I don’t think Mother would like hearing that you’re picking favorites. Plus, why should I hop, can’t I walk?” “/Don’t you speak to me like that you—” he started, but was cut off by Mother, who had just walked in. “Lucius, don’t call her that!” she said angrily. “Cissa, you should hear how she talks towards me! Acts like—” “You’ve said this a thousand time, I do /not/ care! She’s still a child! Ashy, here, honey, come downstairs.” she added, leading me off the steps and into the kitchen, on the other side, for Xavier not to hear. “Sorry, he just… he wanted another son, but instead we had you, he just doesn’t like you because he rather have a third male instead of you. He really shouldn’t treat you like that.” Mother explained to me quietly. “Well, good for him, I’ve already gotten used to it,” I said to her as Draco walked in, this time in his black robes. “Well, finally dressed, are you?” I said jokingly with a smile. He did the same. “Just ‘cause you have the ability to wake up at the crack of dawn,” Draco smirked. ——— At around fifteen after eight, we decided, instead of Floo Powder, we were going to do Side-Along Apparation. Draco, who did this last year, grabbed Father’s arm tightly, with Xavier on his other as I clutched Mother’s. Not knowing what would happen, I didn’t take a breath in before doing it, so I felt nearly suffocated. “Wait, I, er, need to grab something back at the house real quick,” Father said to Mother. “What is it?” Xavier asked curiously. “Nothing.” ——— We all went back to our house, waiting for him to get whatever he was looking for. “Dobby! Get the black book in me and Cissa’s room! NOW!” Farher yelled at our house elf. Two minutes later, Dobby came scurrying into the living room, holding a black leather book which looked decently old. Around five minutes later, Draco, Xavier, Mother, me, and Father went back to Diagon Alley, though Draco and Father headed towards Knockturn Alley, instead. “Father, where are you going?” Xavier asked him. “It’s nothing,” he replied simply. “Xavier, Ashy, let’s go to Madam Malkin’s while we wait for Draco and your father,” Mother suggested. “‘Kay,” I said back to her, walking towards the robe shop. ——— When we had finally gotten the new robes, and Xavier a slightly cut where a needle had scraped him, Father and Draco had caught up with us and we all walked to Flourish and Blotts to buy the sets of Gilderoy Lockhart books. There was a huge camera flashing as we walked in there. A man with golden curly and blue robes, a younger one pinned to his side. The scar. It couldn’t be him…. Harry Potter. “Ugh, looks like Potter got himself a new fan,” Draco said disgustedly. When the man, who was probably Lockhart due to the sign outside that said he’d be here, let Potter go, he walked towards a family with really, really, REALLY ginger hair. “It’s the pathetic Weasleys, now isn’t it?” Draco said. “Draco, honestly stop, we get you don’t like them,” I said. “Oh, I didn’t know you liked one of the brothers,” he mocked me. “Shut up, Draco.” ——— A few hours later, we came back home, and Mother healed Father, whose lip was bleeding because he and the Weasley father, who Mother said was named Arthur Weasley, had a small fight in Flourish and Blotts, although the rest of the day was good. We’re going to Hogwarts in four weeks, and I hope Father can stand them.
