There was nothing especially remarkable about Estelle Stryker. She isn't popular. She isn't a genius. She doesn't even talk to many people. She was just in the background, and she preferred it that way. So actually, she was rather quite unremarkable. Much like every other kid in her grade, Estelle is just trying to keep up with her assignments. She struggles with due dates, as she'd much rather talk t her friends instead of doing work. She's normal. Oh yeah, then there's also the dream. It's just of a family trapped in a school. They aren't even doing anything. Just standing there, talking to each other. Estelle can't even hear what they're saying. Thats all they've ever done since they first appeared in her subconscious the summer before 4th grade. The dream is an annual occurrence, always happening during the week before the new school year starts. She told her best friend, River Ivory about the dream once she had it the second time. He thinks it could mean something, but Estelle isn't convinced. What could a family talking in an old school possibly represent in her life? But suddenly, the daughter in the family tried to open the door to leave the room. She wasn't successful, the door refused to budge. A loud siren started blaring. Estelle woke up in a cold sweat.
