Hoglin: Hoglins are giant pigs that were a result of mutation in the nether, like the piglins that prey on them. And like their piglin cousins, hoglins munch on crimson fungi and have a strange aversion to warped for unknown reasons. They live in herds, enjoying the status of dominant fungivore. However, with multiple predators, one can’t say that they’re the dominant species. Great hunger: A crocodile-esque creature, these have spread around the world and have around 52 variants, one for each biome. The only real difference between these variants is colour and occasionally size. They all have the same hunting strategy: burying themselves in the ground to ambush their prey. However, because of this strategy, a great hunger of one type cannot survive in any other biome. Strider: These bois can walk in the boiling-hot lava of the nether. To accomplish this, they have long toes on their rear feet with fringes of skin that unfurl in the lava, increasing surface area. They also have expandable appendages on the sides of their body that, to the inexperienced minecrafter look like axolotl gills, but actually help to shed heat. They graze on warped fungi, but live practically everywhere in the nether. They hold their young on their backs to protect them from the searing heat.
