I looked around anxiously as people tried to chat with me some. I hated being Delta. At least Reagan was over there, so that means she could distract most people from me. This was what worried me though. Amber was supposed to be in this gym class with us, she was supposed to have everyone's attention, but she wasn't here, and she never skipped without telling me. The wind blew ebony hair behind me, and I turned around. I saw Forrest, and Dean running on the field. As soon as I looked at Forrest it caught his eye, and he smiled, and sent a small friendly wave. I waved back, a small smile twisting on my face. I looked away, and looked for someone who would help me. I first scanned the field, and found Ann, who was known to be a sweet girl, and also known to be best friends with the troublemaker Celeste. They might help me, but they were on the field, I needed someone I could reach quickly and efficiently. She noticed a girl named Stella on the field. She was pretty, and seemed nice. though she seemed to watch Forrest a lot, with quite the heart broken look. 'Focus!' I thought to myself, to keep on track. I decided it was no use seeing if any of the kids on the field could help me, so I went to the next best thing. One of the many kids trying to start a conversation with me, the delta. I scanned our bleacher, finding it was mostly people who I didn't know. Suddenly a flash of green and brown caught my eyes. It was Lily, she was snuggled up and lost in the wonderous world of a book. I'd hate to disturb her, but it's urgent. If Amber is who I think she is, then if I don't find her things could get horribly worse. I put my hands into my pocket checking for the one thing I was forced to bring, by my own conscience. I slowly scooted over to Lily's side of the bleachers, and tapped her shoulder. She seemed to lost in her book so I whispered, "Lily." "Lillllyyyy..." I held the letters of her name longer. Her eyes bounced off of the letters and fell to my own. "Cae? You need help with something?" My eyes brightened, "Yes! Actually I do! I really do!" I quickly explained the plan to her and hoped she would agree, and be okay with it. When I finished she looked up to me, her green eyes watering. "B-but Cae!" Lily violently wiped her eyes self-consciensly "It's too dangerous! There's so many things that could go wrong!" "I know! I know. It's not foolproof, but it's all we got, if we can't stop this than what's gonna happen? People are just gonna keep disappearing? The police have hardly done anything! We need to take a stand." I finished my dramatic speech. "So will you help me with this one small thing?" Lily did what I definitely didn't expect her to. She threw her arms around me, not caring that we sort of just made a scene. "You're my best friend. I'd do anything for you." I laughed throwing my arms around her in turn, "Have I ever told you how great of a friend you are?" We laughed together, and shed some tears. When everything calmed down we got out together. I definitely didn't know how to drive, but I knew Lily did. She had just gotten her license. So we drove. She drove me straight down a block that we knew, being the Alpha it was hard to hide personal details about yourself, basically everyone in school knew Amber's address. We got all the way there, and saw it was in the suburbs, but it had a private driveway the drove down the road at least half a mile. The trees around us got closer and closer together until the woods looked so dense that it'd be hard to even walk in them. We finally got to the house and before I hopped out Lily hugged me again. "Be safe." She whispered with watery eyes. I simply nodded, not regretting my decisions, but not being excited. I put my hands in my pocket again touching the wood, and the small bits of metal. With that I stormed in the door.
